FCJC Presents: A Conversation With Parents on Feb. 4, 2017
Recent events involving juveniles in Fulton County require a new look at the supportive services provided to youth and families. The issues are concerning and current resolutions are troubling. Families and communities are left collectively wondering "Where do we go from here?” In response to the uncertainty, a new conversation has emerged; a family-talk about how “the village” works together to ensure all children have the best opportunities to succeed.
FULTON COUNTY JUVENILE COURT presents: A Conversation with Parents, a biannual Family Forum designed to equip parents, embrace families and engage the community. This event is a unique opportunity for parents, grandparents, youth, mentors, youth advocates, family service providers and concerned community members to come together and create a positive path forward for Fulton’s greatest treasure and future hope - our youth.
Through informative presentations and a diverse roster of participants A Conversation with Parents… will help facilitate actionable, grass-roots strategies for meaningful early intervention, increased family engagement and educational attainment. Fulton Juvenile Court has partnered with Impact Church to host the first session Saturday, February 4, 2017, 10 a.m. -12 p.m., 2323 Sylvan Road, East Point, GA 30344. Doors will open @ 9 a.m. with access to resource booths and early arrival gifts.
